Hot Spiced Wine

4 c. red wine
4 oz. brandy
2 Tbl. brown sugar

1 oz. lemon juice

1 c. orange juice

3 to 4 whole cloves

8 to 10 whole peppercorns

5 whole cinnamon sticks

 

In saucepan (not aluminum), combine all ingredients except wine.  Bring to a boil and cook until reduced by half (about 10 minutes).  Lower heat and add wine.  Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, DO NOT BOIL.  Strain.  Serve hot and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
